TRAILS

Tumbarumba boasts many great trails for all levels or all types of rides.

In Town

A Bike Playground – perfect for the youngest riders just getting started on two wheels

Pump track and skate park – practice and develop skills. Great for older kids and the young at heart.

Rail Trail

Fully sealed, separated from traffic, the Rail Trail is 21km, (42 return) winding and meandering through rolling farm land. Perfect for a leisurely group ride with relaxed lunch break at one of the cafes in Rosewood.

XC – Cross Country MTB trail network

Built and maintained by volunteers, including Peter and Ria from Ride Tumba. There are three distinct riding areas in Tumbarumba.

Town Common – a great family friendly mini trail network.

Brumbies Run – a 600m family track, that is wholly visible from the picnic table.

As Common as Muck – Easy green 1.2km climb (only 42m elevation), give you the option of 3 separate descents.

For Pete’s Sake – flowly friendly green descent with a few friendly table tops;

Basalt Flow – a little extra elevation, then a fast and fun flow trail; or peel off and take

Jo’s Shuttle – a loose, off-camber, steep hand built 2-way trail, that you can climb for some extra challenge.

Mason’s Hill

Boasts 15km of Green – Blue XC Trail.

Including the very popular trilogy of Pump It, Thump It, Jump It, 3km flowy descent.

Arranged in 3 loops there’s a lot of Machine Built and Hand Built fun on two wheels to be had.

The Police Paddock

This was the first Trail that Cycle Tumbarumba were able to build. It’s a straight up / straight down  2.7km loop. Reps of this trail will get you fit and only get more fun as you learn the tight bermy descent.
