HOW DO I HIRE A BIKE
To hire a bike click on the BOOK NOW button above.
We will ask you your preferred date, the type and quantity of bikes you wish to hire and other useful information.
Follow the prompts to go to checkout.
Opening hours?
Ride Tumba is open from 10:00am Tuesday to Saturday. Earlier pickup times can generally be arranged by contacting us.
Bikes should be returned by 5:00pm.
Hire Bike bookings can be arranged for Sundays or Mondays. Pre-book online, we’ll be in touch to arrange a time to collect your bikes.
RAIL TRAIL BIKES
Are helmets supplied?
Yes, but you’re also welcome to bring your own. It must comply with Australian Standards and be less than 5 years old.
Is a half day rate available?
Yes, half day rates are available, but only for walk-ins for an afternoon if bikes are available. To secure a bike, a day hire booking is recommended.
How far is the Rail Trail?
21km from the Figures Street Trail Head to the Rosewood Trail Head. It is 2km from Ride Tumba to the Figures St Trailhead, making a round trip about 46km.
How long does it take to ride the Rail Trail?
It depends how fast you want to ride. 5hrs, allows time for riding at a leisurely pace, stopping to take in some of the history boards and having lunch at Rosewood.
What facilities are on the Rail Trail?
Toilets are located at the start (Figures Street), the end (Rosewood) and midway at Glenroy Station.
Photo / history boards and park seating can be found regularly along the way.
Free pump / repair stands are located at Figures Street, Glenroy Station and Rosewood.
Where can I get something to eat/drink?
Rosewood offers two cafes: Gone Barney Nursery Café, and Rosewood Store Café which are both open 7 days a week.
MOUNTAIN BIKES
Are helmets supplied?
Yes, open face helmets are supplied, but you’re also welcome to bring your own. If you prefer to ride with a full face helmet please bring your own.
It must comply with Australian Standards and be less than 5 years old.
Elbow and knee pads are also available for a fee. Please book to secure the best fitting size.
Opening hours?
Ride Tumba is open from 10:00am Tuesday to Saturday. Earlier pickup times can generally be arranged by contacting us. If you are hiring bikes and catching the Mt Tumbarumba shuttle, please collect your bikes from 8:00am, ready to catch the shuttle at Union Lane at 8:45am. Contact us if you wish to arrange another time.
Bikes should be returned by 4:30pm.

How do I get to Mt Tumbarumba?
It is a 2.8km ride to the Mt Tumbarumba Trailhead.
If you have also booked a shuttle pass for that day you can catch the shuttle at 8:45am from Union Lane (behind Ride Tumba).
How do I get my Mt Tumbarumba HivePass?
As Mt Tumbarumba is private land you need to purchase either a day or annual Mt Tumbarumba HivePass. Funds from this go directly to Cycle Tumbarumba for park operations including insurances and trail maintenance. For details on how to purchase your HivePass see here.
What facilities are on Mt Tumbarumba?
Toilets are located at the Trailhead and the Tower (shuttle drop off).
